Welcome

“For You have made him most blessed forever;

As a recent author of two books, Living in His Presence and Secrets in His Presence, I welcome you to my cozy bungalow where we will get to know one another better. I enjoy making warm memories, so I look forward to making some with you. Unlike many authors, I never felt like I “had a book in me.” But I did have a direct mandate from God to write one. After I wrote my first book, I received another mandate to write a second one. Whenever we are together, I will refer to each book as Living and Secrets. I will share them with you as we talk about life and intimacy with God.

I recall reading about those long ago, who seemed to have a real connection with God, moment by moment; I call it intimacy.  As a follower of Jesus Christ, I wanted what they had and began to pray and ask for that. God revealed five ingredients that needed to be in my life if I wanted to thrive with Him in the moment. Then He told me to write a book about them. How do you say no to God? Isn’t obedience to God at the core of our Christian belief system? I couldn’t say no, so I wrote Living and it was published. Soon after the publication of Living, I wrote the study companion to go along with it.

While Living inspires readers to pursue intimacy with God, its companion, Secrets in His Presence, equips and takes them to that place.

Both books are incredibly personal, and I can’t wait for you to read them. You will glimpse at my heart and understand my spiritual journey. Many say that reading my books feels like we are having a meaningful conversation together at the kitchen table. You will enjoy the time you spend in each book. But most of all, you will draw closer to God. In this world of uncertainties and hardships, it’s sure a comfort to know that no matter what, we have an Advocate, One who loves in the moment to moment of our lives so that we never have to be afraid or feel alone. That’s the beauty of Living and Secrets; they usher you into the presence of God moment to moment.

While you journey with me in Living and Secrets, you will learn about the failures and successes of my spiritual life through my own transparency. And you will have the freedom to be honest with yourself  through opportunities for reflection, living applications, and personal ministry times. Stories about real people and their journeys will capture your heart, and you’ll feel like you know them. Both books are full of Scripture. You are in for a wonderful journey. And…the journey is your goal.
