Today in my Living Group, we discussed and marveled at how Jesus was totally dependent upon the Father. He modeled perfect submission to God the Father. And we agreed that if Jesus was that dependent and obedient, so can we because we live in Him and He lives in us. The Bible says that we can be just like Jesus.
Remember the famous initials that we wore on our wrists and t-shirts a while back…W.W.J.D.? What Would Jesus Do? Wearing those letters was a constant reminder to do what Jesus would do in all situations. And it worked. Many were encouraged to imitate their Savior in the day to day of life. Today, we talked about how those initials remind us to trust the Father just like Jesus did.
Then a dear lady in my Living Group suggested that we put a different twist on those initials. W.H.J.D…What Has Jesus Done? Think of all that Jesus has already done for us. He did it so that we wouldn’t have to. We can rest in what our Savior has done for us and simply abide in Him just like He said to do.
It’s not hard to let go of our personal agendas in life when we know that Jesus already paved the way for us. And it’s not that difficult to trust and depend upon God when we remember that Jesus did it too. So let’s just take the easy route in life…let’s realize how much Jesus has already done, embrace it, and live life to the fullest…in perfect submission to the Father, just like Jesus.

I have been a Christian for a long time and it is hard for me to “Let Go and Let God” do what He wants to do in my life. I am at that point that I have to let go and let God do what He wants because I have learned that I cannot do anything unless He is in it.
