How did Jesus manage His prayer list? I’m sure He had quite an extensive one! He prayed for the multitudes and ministered to thousands of needs. How did He do it?
Jesus’ prayer life was led by the Father in Heaven. He listened to the voice of His Father and always knew what to pray according to the will of God. Jesus set an example for us to follow when He consulted the Father for everything. Whatever the Father told Him to pray, Jesus prayed, and His prayers were powerfully answered.
Prayer can become mechanical, or it can be Holy Spirit led. You can repeat the same prayers day after day, or you can ask the Holy Spirit to give you the words to pray according to the will of God the Father. You can know that you have been answered, or you can wonder if you will ever be heard.
There is a difference between knowing your prayer is heard according to the will of God and hoping your prayer is heard. When you know your prayer is heard, you can move on; it is done and you don’t have to labor over it again and again. You can simply thank God for hearing and answering your prayer.
